Our Projects

Calling all creators: Get Involved!  Improve whole child, whole school academic outcomes .  Let's celebrate life-long-learning & curiousity via multi-sensory nature based learning spaces.  Whether you are a parent, educator, or community member, you can make a difference in the lives of young learners. Volunteer your time, donate to our cause, or spread the word about our organization. Together, we can create a brighter future for our children & communities.

WHAT: Let's GROW!

  • Advocate for your local Community-Living-Schoolyard, today. Let's start with mulch cover on earth, to promote living soil food web/ sponge. Then layers of shrubs, and trees, to create cool microclimates;
    As part of the functioning water cycle and ecosystem.

  • Volunteer to create Nature based play areas, that also stabilize heat, increase wildlife for learning.

WHERE: Our Community School or Yours...

Volunteer or advocate for Green Schoolyards today. Creativity is encouraged in Community School Culture.

WHEN:  Winter/ Spring 2024: Connect with Community for Monthly Community PlayDates on Family Friday's   

Mondays-Fridays from 2-6 p

Students (can invite their parents to check-in then) read in our Library, Garden, and exercise Artistic Expression in our creative maker spaces, Paint, Draw, Write, Poetry, make Music & Movements.

Culture improves positive memories/associations, & bridges academic gaps.

WHY: Let's GROW... to increase attendance & bridge academic gaps.

The benefits of schoolyard gardens for students & school communities are numerous:
protection against heat, increased physical activity, social-emotional wellness, and improved mental health.
Learning benefits such as hands-on curriculum, environmental literacy, increased attention span, and improved academic performance.

Ecological and climate resilience benefits such as carbon capture, decreased energy consumption/cooling needs, and improved stormwater management. 
Community benefits via family engagement, community cohesion, and increased stewardship.
